Safety Supervisor Needed in Thousand Oaks (in-office)

Industry: Construction

Pay Range: $30 - $35/hour (negotiable)

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

7:30am - 4:30pm (flexible)

MUST HAVES:

  • 3+ years of hands-on Safety Training experience in a construction setting, or similar environment
  • Safety Audits experienced
  • OSHA 30 candidates highly preferred

Summary:

The Construction Safety Supervisor's duties encompass ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel, enforcing safety regulations, and implementing safety programs. They are responsible for identifying and mitigating hazards, investigating incidents, conducting safety inspections, providing safety training, conducting safety audits, etc.

Responsibilities and Duties (others duties will be assigned)

Safety Planning and Implementation:

  • Developing and implementing safety programs and policies: This includes creating site-specific safety plans, emergency response plans, and procedures for various tasks.
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations: They stay informed about and implement all required safety standards.
  • Conducting regular safety audits and inspections: This involves checking equipment, work areas, and employee adherence to safety protocols.

Safety Training and Communication:

  • Conducting safety training for all personnel: This includes new hire orientation, ongoing training, and refresher courses on specific hazards.
  • Providing clear and concise communication about safety procedures and regulations: This ensures everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
  • Leading or participating in safety meetings: This provides a forum for discussions, updates, and addressing safety concerns.
